Drivel From Devizes: Dateline – Sunday
6th August 2017
Here is our weekly round-up of events from Devizes:
1. The
Wiltshire Athletics Championships, held on a track running around the duck pond
in Hillworth Park, was thrown into disarray last night after the man who was
supposed to win the Men’s 100m final (Insane Blot) was beaten by a dope of a man
who wasn’t supposed to win. A spokesman
from the WAA said that he was very disappointed, that the man who should have
won really should have won, and that it just wasn’t fair, so there, boo-hoo.
2. And,
in a sad moment this week, the eccentric 90-year old bloke who turns up to
every parade, funeral, wedding, procession and carnival in town, but who no-one
knows the name of, has decided to retire.
He will not be sadly missed,
whoever he was.
3.
For
details of these and all other Devizes stories, don’t forget to listen to local
radio station D-Town F-Off.
