Drivel From Devizes: Dateline – Sunday 9th February 2020
Here is our weekly
round-up of events from D-Town:
1. The
gossip channels in D-Town were set alight this week when one of the presenters
on Fantasy Radio, in a tearful confession, came out as straight on public
radio. He apologised to his ex-flatmate
for having “lived a lie” for nearly 27 days. He said that his heterosexuality had been
bothering him for some time, and that his interest in hair-dressing and soft
furnishings had all been a sham.
2. And
Storm Ciara has wreaked absolute havoc across the borough. In one street a bin was blown over. Its owner was said to be “devastated”. Counselling is being arranged. In other streets several people were said to
have lost a trampoline. And in other
nearby streets, several people were said to have gained a trampoline. Yet again the Met Office has been blamed for
allowing “bad weather” to happen completely unexpectedly during ther period of
the year known as “winter”. Thoughts and
prayers.
