Bulletin From Bromham: Dateline
– Sunday 12th April 2015
Here is our weekly round-up of events from Bromham:
1. Bromham
police are reviewing hundreds of hours of video images in an attempt to uncover
those responsible for the great vegetable heist over the Easter week-end. In a daring raid, thieves broke into the secure
warehouse in the Market Garden,
disabling security systems (well, drugging the guard dog), before
tunnelling their way in using a JCB, before emptying a number of safety deposit
boxes of beetroots, parsnips and 24 carrots.
2. The
election campaign for the new Parish Council continues unabated. All parties have accused one another of
making un-costed promises regarding the future of the cottage hospital, the
library, tax-breaks for cabbage-pickers and Bromham’s defence deterrent (whether
to keep 3 or 4 tractors in the lanes at all times). Regulars in the Snug Bar of The Wounded
Ferret were said to be unavailable for comment.
3.
For
details of these and all other Bromham stories, don’t forget to listen to local
radio station Carrot FM.
