Bulletin From Bromham: Dateline
– Sunday 5th April 2015
Here is our weekly round-up of events from Bromham:
1. Bromham
ground to a complete standstill today due to what can only be described as continued
police inefficiency. Parts of the
village were still cordoned off, businesses closed and bus-routes suspended
after police failed to remove no-parking bollards and crime-scene tape from a
judicial murder case, apparently committed over 2000 years ago, outside Bromham’s
village borders. Residents are still puzzled
as to why this unresolved case continues to cast a shadow over today’s normal
village activities.
2. And
in the Bromham Hustings, televised this week by an Independent Television Video
(ITV) Company, all 47 candidates, entitled to receiving equal air-time under
the fair-play and independence rules of broadcasters during the Parish Council election
campaign, spoke for precisely 47 seconds.
It would have been 55 seconds if the moderator had not continued to
interrupt. Bromham residents viewing the
broadcast were variously described as being “confused”, “bored” or “catatonic”.

details of these and all other Bromham stories, don’t forget to listen to local
radio station Carrot FM.
