Bulletin From Bromham: Dateline
– Sunday 11th September 2016
Here is our weekly round-up of events from Bromham:
1. Scandal
has hit the Parish Council this week after the chairman of the allotments
committee was exposed by the Bromham Bugle for buying second-hand cars. In a “sting” operation, police discovered a
number of old Ford vehicles in the back garden of Pat “Rick” Vaseline. It has now been revealed that he had a habit
of paying for 20 year-old Escorts.
2. A
number of parents were outraged this week as the new school term started at
Bromham Low School, and pupils were sent home for being “inappropriately
dressed”. The head-master, Alby
Tellinyer, said that the school had a strict code for what constituted the
school uniform. This did not include
belts (where baler twine is the traditional method of holding up skirts and
trousers) or blazers (where agricultural jackets should be used). “How are children to be prepared for the real
world of work if they do not learn to dress correctly whilst still at school?”
he asked.
3.

radio station Carrot FM.
