Here is
our weekly round-up of events from Bromham:
·
It
has been confirmed by scientists, following DNA testing, that the bones found
under the High Street car park are those of former Lord of Bromham Manor,
Richard Piglet III. The bones are to be
preserved and re-interred in Bromham Cathedral with full aristocratic honours,
including the doffing of caps and the tugging of forelocks.
·
It
has also been confirmed by scientists, following some slightly different DNA
tests, that traces of toadstool have been found in a packet of vegetarian
burgers. The whole fungus-chain has now
been brought under the microscope, and investigations are continuing. In a piece of late news, police have raided a
mushroom-processing plant on the edge of the parish. The owner, Vaclav Piglet, claimed that he was
doing nothing illegal. Neighbours
described Piglet as a “fungi”.
