Here is
our weekly round-up of events from Bromham:
·
Farmers
in Bromham have only until midnight tonight to make their decision on Carrot
Benefit. Under new Parish rules, farmers
who produce more than two tons of carrots per year must either opt out of Carrot
Benefit, or else decide to take it, but to face a higher Carrot Income Tax
later in the year, through Carrot Self-Assessment. The leader of the Carrot-Rooters’ Action
Party (CRAP), Dave Willybanned described the introduction of the new rules as “a
fiasco”.
·
There
was more trouble in the High Street last night between youths supporting Bromham
Loyalists and Seend Separatists, and the local beat bobby had to intervene to
separate the scuffling parties. The Loyalists
are angry at the decision of Bromham Parish Council to only fly the official
Owl flag over the Social Centre on certain public occasions, rather than every
day of the year.
·

details of these and all other Bromham stories, don’t forget to listen to local
radio station Carrot FM.
